10-Year Guarantee – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the scope and limitations of the 10-year guarantee (“Guarantee”) provided for bespoke fitted furniture (“Furniture”) supplied and installed by the Company (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the original purchaser (“you”, “your”).
1. Duration of Guarantee
1.1 This Guarantee is valid for 10 years from the date of final installation.
1.2 The Guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
2. What the Guarantee Covers
Subject to these Terms, we guarantee that the Furniture will remain free from:
- Manufacturing defects in materials.
- Defects in craftsmanship, including joinery, assembly, and finishing.
- Structural failure of cabinets, carcasses, and fixed components due to normal domestic use.
- Failure of installed mechanisms such as hinges, runners, and integrated hardware, where covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties.
3. What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
This Guarantee does not cover:
3.1 General wear and tear, including minor scratches, scuffs, dents, and colour fading resulting from normal use.
3.2 Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper care, including excessive moisture, heat exposure, or failure to follow care instructions.
3.3 Accidental damage, including impact, spillage, stains, or attempting repairs or modifications yourself or via a third party.
3.4 Movement or damage caused by building settlement, subsidence, damp ingress, leaks, plumbing failures, or environmental conditions beyond our control.
3.5 Appliances, lighting, electrical components, or third-party products integrated into the Furniture but not manufactured by us. These are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties. * LED lighting has an expected lifetime of approximately 10,000 to 50,000 hours depending on type, location and usage. Replacement of all LED lighting will be chargeable.
3.6 Natural characteristics of wood, such as grain variation, slight colour changes, or movement consistent with timber’s natural behaviour.
3.7 Furniture that has been relocated from its original installation position.
4. Your Responsibilities
For this Guarantee to remain valid, you must:
4.1 Retain proof of purchase and installation.
4.2 Use the Furniture only for its intended domestic purpose.
4.3 Follow our recommended care and maintenance instructions.
4.4 Notify us of any issue as soon as reasonably possible after it becomes apparent.
5. How to Make a Claim
5.1 Submit claims in writing, including:
- Your name and address
- Proof of purchase
- Description of the issue
- Supporting photographs
5.2 On receiving a claim, we may:
- Request additional information
- Conduct an inspection (in person or via photos/video)
- Arrange a site visit, if necessary
5.3 Decisions on claims are made at our sole discretion based on inspection findings.
6. Remedies
If a defect covered by this Guarantee is confirmed, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the defective item;
- Replace the defective component; or
- Replace the item entirely if repair is not reasonably possible.
Where the original material or finish is no longer available, a suitable alternative may be used.
No cash alternative or refund will be offered.
7. Limitations of Liability
7.1 Our liability under this Guarantee is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the Furniture or its components.
7.2 We are not liable for:
- Consequential or indirect losses
- Costs of removing household items, décor, or flooring to access the Furniture
- Damage arising from circumstances outside our control
This Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
8. Exclusions for Commercial Use
This Guarantee applies only to domestic installations. Furniture used in rental, commercial, or high-traffic environments is excluded unless agreed in writing.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
